Oz Farm French Wine Dinner

On October 25th please join us for a spectacular evening in the Hudson Valley, in the barn at Oz Farm for our first wine pairing dinner sponsored by Windmill Wine & Spirits. We will be featuring the food of Michelen Star Chef Patti Jackson through 5 courses paired with French wines. As a rare and special appearance, we will also have the wine makers from France present to speak to their wines.

Patti Jackson is a Michelin-Starred chef and pastry chef who has worked in New York City for 25 years. Jackson was chef and proprietor of Delaware and Hudson, in Brooklyn.

A proud native of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where she grew up in Clark’s Summit, a typical American small town. Originally interested in biology and chemistry, Jackson fell in love with the restaurant business as a teenager, and has pursued all aspects of service and food craft ever since.

Trained as a Pastry Chef at the Baltimore International Culinary Arts Institute, Jackson worked for such industry leaders as Sutton Place Gourmet and the Pino Luongo organization before taking over the restaurant Le Madri as an Executive Chef in 2003. Subsequently she was the Executive Chef of the restaurants I Trulli and Centovini in Manhattan. She opened Delaware and Hudson, which was awarded a Michelin Star 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Sam.

Live Music with Bennett Harris

Get ready for a rousing performance of lively Delta blues and ragtime music, when Bennett Harris takes the Dutch Alehouse stage with guitars and harmonicas. What's in store is a diverse repertoire of traditional acoustic blues music. Bennett's song sources include Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Blind Blake, as well as modern masters such as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Hot Tuna, and Bonnie Raitt ... as well as original tunes.

Bennett's intricate guitar fingerpicking style is based on the Rev. Gary Davis ragtime-blues method. This carnival-like, upbeat sound supports Bennett's emotional singing and harmonica playing. He switches to a vintage National steel guitar for the gritty, downhome Delta "bottleneck" slide style. The metal-bodied resonator has a memorable, commanding gut-bucket growl and whine, perfectly drawling the rugged Delta blues sound of the American south.
